Aims/Objectives of the Training

This Multiculturalism, diversity & equality course is designed:

  • to support the diverse background of workers (which includes a diversity of culture, faiths, abilities, and gender) into a positive and inclusive work experience.
  • to assist in motivating an attitudinal shift in the understanding of diversity in the workplace from a challenging situation into a positive and resourceful one
  • to engage with diversity as a resource for one’s personal life and workplace
  • to understand hate speech as an abusive behaviour that limits agency in the workplace
  • to develop multicultural competencies for a positive and inclusive workplace

After completing this training programme, participants will have the skills and knowledge to:

  • Identify and evaluate situations of hate speech
  • Apply principles of multiculturalism and inclusion in their workplace
  • Interpret cultural diversity as a positive resource
  • Recognise their ethical and legal responsibilities towards inclusion and diversity issues

At least 1 session is recommended (though can be tailored to client’s distinct needs)

This course can be delivered face-to-face. The course will be delivered in English.

  • Identifying hate speech and evaluating situations of hate speech
  • Introduction to multiculturalism
  • What are the main principles of multiculturalism
  • Apply principles of multiculturalism and inclusion in their workplace
  • Understanding diversity
  • Is diversity positive or negative? and why?
  • What are ones ethical and legal responsibilities towards inclusion and diversity issues
